Valere Rutlege, in addition to being a registered nurse, is a certified Canine Massage Therapist (level 1 and 2). As such, she provides Canine Massage for performance dogs traveling to regional agility events and as an adjunct to veterinary care in the local area.
Val continues to accompany AKC World Agility Team members to competitions in foreign countries such as Switzerland, Norway, Finland, Austria, Germany, France, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands, the UK, Sweden and Portugal, keeping team dogs ready to compete at the highest level.
Val has been a speaker on the topic of Canine Massage at several seminars and camps in Canada, the United States, and Puerto Rico.

As a trainer, Valerie Rutledge helps dogs & handlers in Agility and Obedience. Val's years of experience & compassion are truely respected by her clients.
Valerie has been active in the dog sports since 1979. She first began instructing and competing in AKC obedience and Schutzhund with her German Shepherds. Currently, Val instructs exclusively in obedience and agility.

Val has organized Camps & Seminars bringing top name agility trainers to provide professional staffing.
Val has participated in and administered over 20 years of camps and seminars, working with; Stuart Mah, Jo Sermon, Jen Pinder, Theresa Rector, Karen Holik, Jennifer Crank, Carrie Jones, Jessica Ajoux, and Tamas Traj to name a few. Both Val and spouse Bob had been an active NAUI scuba diving instructors and Bob an instructor trainer. In the past, when based in Miami, FL, he and Val conducted numerous scuba diving courses as well as scuba instructor courses. Both are still active divers with log books elaborating a history of dives around the world since the early 1970s. Areas dove include: Bahamas, Cayman Islands, Bonaire, Jamaica, Roatan, Cozumel Mexico, Sea of Cortez, Socoros Islands, Fijii, Tahitti, Alaska/British Columbia, The Grenadines, Papua New Guine, Haiti, Palau, Yap, Truk, Vanuatu, Soloman Islands, Australia, Africa, Thailand, Galapagos, Maldives, Philippines and of course the Forida Keys.
